Paul Harris Society
Paul Harris Fellow – Paul Harris Society – What is the Difference?
Paul Harris Fellow recognition represents $1000 given to The Rotary Foundation. Paul Harris Society membership means a pledge to contribute $1000 to the Annual Fund, Polio Plus or an approved grant of The Rotary Foundation every Rotary year. So PHS means an ongoing commitment to support The Rotary Foundation.
Is PHS membership important to The Rotary Foundation?
You bet! Across the globe PHS members represent only about 3% of Rotary members; however they contribute about 35% of the annual donations. So PHS members are very important.
Are there any perks with PHS membership?
You will receive a PHS dangle. Paul Harris Society members receive an invitation to the District 5890 Rotary Foundation dinner. In West U we have an annual Paul Harris Society dinner at one of Houston's top restaurants; there is no charge for PHS members to attend.
How can I participate?
There are many ways to fulfill the PHS pledge. Those include monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual payments through Rotary Direct. At rotary.org, log into Member Access and follow the prompts to donate.
When you decide to join, contact Don Raskin at firstname.lastname@example.org. Don will send you a pledge form and get recognition items to you.
