Avenues of Service

Our club's commitment to Service Above Self is channeled through five avenues of service, which form the foundation of club activity. All members are asked to get involved in at least one of the listed committees and to participate in the activities of all committees to the extent their schedules allow and the activity appeals to their own call to serve.  Many service projects are "done in a day" and serve organizations, groups, and individuals.  In addition, the club welcomes project ideas from all members as we seek to always increase our impact on the world.

CLUB SERVICE

Club Service focuses on strengthening fellowship and ensuring the smooth functioning of Rotary clubs.  This includes the newsletter, website, facilities and meeting setup and takedown, the Rain and Shine committee, and the social committee.

VOCATIONAL SERVICE

Vocational Service involves club members serving others through their professions and aspiring to high ethical standards. Rotarians, as business leaders, share skills and expertise through their vocations, and they inspire others in the process.  Groups we collaborate with are The Women's Home, the Weekley YMCA, Martha's Way, and many more.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Community Service is the opportunity for our club to having to implement club projects and activities that improve life in the local community.  Agencies we collaborate with include Sheltering Arms, Emergency Aid Coalition, Prison Entrepreneurship Program, and many more.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

International Service encompasses efforts to expand Rotary's humanitarian reach around the world and to promote world understanding and peace. It includes everything from contributing to PolioPlus, hosting Rotary Youth Exchange students, and sorting and shipping Books for the World to developing countries.

NEW GENERATIONS
Every year, thousands of talented and dedicated young people, ages 12-30, have an incredible experience in a New Generations program.
As Rotaractors and Interactors, they serve in communities at home and abroad. Through Rotary Youth Exchange, they explore new cultures. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards participants learn skills that will help them succeed as future community leaders.
