BARBARA BRONSTEIN
Founder, President, & Volunteer Second Servings of Houston
After retiring from a successful marketing career with Unilever and Mars, Barbara founded Second Servings of Houston, the city’s only prepared and perishable food rescue organization. Since operations began in 2015, the nonprofit has rescued over 3 million pounds of food worth more than $20 million. The organization serves 90 charity recipient sites that reach 170,000 needy Houstonians annually. She has received numerous awards and honors for her community service, including most recently, the Mayor’s Proud Partner Award and the Houston Humanitarian Award. Barbara graduated from Tufts University, before earning an MBA in Marketing from NYU.
