For the fifth week of the month, we will be meeting to work on a service project benefitting the Weekley YMCA apartment outreach centers and food pantries. Details are below.
Dress: Comfortable, casual clothing. Dress for the day’s weather as we will be working outdoors much of the time.
Refreshments: We will have donuts, kolaches, coffee, and water
Where to meet: Please park in the Southwest Central Church of Christ parking lot off of West Bellfort (4011 W. Bellfort Ave., Houston, TX 77025).
We will divide into the different volunteer stations once everyone arrives in the parking lot. You can arrive as early as 7:30 am to enjoy coffee and donuts and a little social time before we get to work.
Service Description:
- Prep and serve breakfast for the children attending the YMCA Opportunity Center program
- Prep food pantry at YMCA Opportunity Center
- Prep food pantry at Southwest Central Church of Christ
- Tour YMCA Opportunity Center program operations
