You will recall Amy Barnes speaking to the club a few weeks ago. She gave a wonderful presentation a few weeks ago about “Books Between Kids,” the nonprofit she started to deliver books to kids so that they can read over the summer.  Between May 11th and May 28th, Books Between Kids will hold Book Celebrations at 47 Houston public schools.  During these celebrations, more than 28,000 Houston ISD children will be able to select six books for their home libraries.

If you would like to volunteer your time to help one of the schools in our program run their book celebration, you can sign up to do so on Books Between Kids’ new volunteer platform, Connect 4 Literacy.  Just follow these
