Rise Against Hunger & Helping Hurricane Victims
I have attached the link to sign up for our next Rise Against Hunger event
October 24th 9:00-1:00 Various shifts Rise Against Hunger Warehouse 8901 Jameel Road, Suite 130 Houston, 77040 This is a joint event with the University Area Rotary Club. Due to the Virus, we have limited the total participants to 20 from each club for a two-hour shift. I have signed Sonya Heath and myself up for the event, so there are 19 spots available from each club for a two-hour shift. Sonya is the lead for University Area Rotary. Thanks to the generosity of our members after Paul Ralph's passing we had a credit for our donations. We will be preparing 16,848 meals. My goal for our Rise Against Hunger event was to package 30,000 meals. That would mean the Rotary Club of West U had been the lead club of packing 100,000 meals in our last three events along with this one. COVID-19 put a stop to that goal. Maybe we can have another meal-packing this Rotary Year or we will complete it next year.

Hurricane Help
I am doing a run for supplies to help Hurricane victims in East Texas and Louisiana. I am doing the run on Tuesday, September 29th. I know AJ Karian is heading over this weekend and will stay a couple of days to help. If you can bring items, please bring them to my office on Monday. My office is staffed until 1:00 today and then everyone works remotely after that.
