Welcome to our new location - Paul's Kitchen.

Are we now a singing club?

Lots of volunteer and social opportunities for October.

West U Rotary Happenings for the week ending October 10, 2015 ….

Howdy all! Well, it was an exciting week. We moved to our new home! Did you enjoy the new location? Did you enjoy the menu? We had a few first week hiccups as expected, but overall we had a fantastic first week at Paul’s Kitchen. Thanks to the entire staff for welcoming us. Thank you Paul, Tino, Mary Donna, Chef Paul and Tirra for your hard work in making our first week  special. We appreciate everything you did week 1 and we look forward to our long term relationship.

And how about that special opening ceremony!!! A special thanks to Larry Gray and his guest Thomas Coker for an outstanding rendition of the National Anthem. Thank you Thomas! You are always welcome.

Last week, our guest speaker  Jose Ramirez provided an entertaining presentation about growing up with leprosy.  He was very impressed with our club and plans to return as a guest. Our next new member? Perhaps.

This week, our speaker is Judith Dullnig – Women’s Storybook Project. Women’s Storybook Project of Texas is a volunteer program that started in Austin, Texas in 2003 and targets the children of women who are imprisoned at Gatesville prisons. This project strives to change this statistic by developing strong relationships between mothers and their children.
