Fearless leader Stephen was out of town this week, so Bentley led last week's meeting; a great way to prepare for next year’s duties.
Last week the club presented a “big” check to CCSC Martha's Way to support their Vocational Training work.
We wished Hito a fond farewell and presented her a Paul Harris Fellowship in honor of her time here. She gave a well organized summation of her year here and wore her pin and button be-decked blazer so important to Rotary youth exchange participants. Kim and Hito lead a rousing round of Japanese trivia followed by bingo. Fun times had by all. Hito then responded to a volley of questions- which she handled like a pro. And for a finale she had prepared delicious red velvet cupcakes with the flag of Japan.
Thank you Hito for being such a great representative of Rotary's Youth Exchange programs and for spending this school year with West U Rotary Club. We'll miss you, and hope that you'll keep in touch with our club as your adventures continue!
