Become a Member
Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for both community service and friendship.
What does it mean to be a member?
Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group of professionals who:
- share your drive to give back.
- care about the community's needs and discover creative ways to meet them.
- will expand your leadership and professional skills.
And you will make good friends and connect with leaders from all continents, cultures, and occupations.
Ready to become a member?
If you are ready to join other like-minded individuals in accomplishing these goals come join one of our service projects or meetings.
Most Thursdays there is a Club breakfast meeting from 7:30 to 8:30 am.
What’s expected of me as a Club member?
As a club member, you will be asked to:
- Use your professional skills and talents to be active in the Club service projects
- Take part in meetings and events
- Pay club dues
- Have fun and make friends
Becoming a Rotarian is a commitment to service to others and also to fellowship. Many Rotarians have found it to be the most rewarding association of their life. It is not uncommon to find Rotarians who have been members for 20, 30, and even over 60 years! We want that lifelong affection for all our new members.
How do I become a member?
It is easy to get involved and on your way to membership immediately.
1. You express interest
Let us know a little about yourself and what you’re looking for by joining. You can contact us for additional information, or join one of our meetings or service events. Check the Calendar for information on times and locations.
Hearing about our projects, and getting to know some of the members will help you decide if becoming a member is something you truly want to do. First-time visitors are invited to the free breakfast buffet for free.
2. The club invites you to join
Once you have spent some time together with the remaining Club members and determined that you would like to join fill in the membership form. We want to be sure you understand exactly what the Rotary Club of West U (Houston) is about. So you will be asked to attend a minimum of three meetings and/or service projects prior to application.
3. You’re a member!
Enjoy getting involved in the activities of the Rotary Club of West U as a Rotary member. Join a committee. Lead a service project. Organize a social event. Lead and contribute!
We hope you will come soon and check us out.
